St Michael’s Lodge
Apply for St Michael’s Lodge
As a member of the Fund you can also apply for alternative convalescence.
We’ve arranged with the North West Benevolent Fund that you can use their new facility at St Michael’s Lodge in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire.
Our members can stay at the refurbished centre for short breaks with an allowance totalling £350. This will fund either a three or four night stay and include limited physiotherapy sessions, meals and accommodation. We ask that your stay be arranged within two months of booking to ensure the maximum benefit of your convalescence.
The rooms provided are double or twin and you can take another adult. Your stay can either be taken as a long weekend, Friday to Sunday night, returning Monday or Monday-Thursday, returning on Friday. If you choose a weekend stay you will get an additional allowance of £15 pppn for lunch and dinner as the restaurant at St Michael’s Lodge only serves breakfast on these days. This will be refunded to you following your stay. If you require physiotherapy sessions these are only available during mid-week breaks.
As the Fund is paying for this accommodation we do not pay towards your travel costs.
The convalescence facility offers a wide range of rehab services that can be accessed by contacting St Michael’s directly. For more information, visit www.nwpbf.org/stmichaels.htm
To apply simply download and complete the St Michael’s Lodge convalescence application form or contact us and we’ll send one to you. Our information sheet should provide you with the necessary details to help you complete the application form.
The application form needs to be signed by your GP and sent to the Benevolent Fund office. A referral will then be made to the North West Benevolent Fund and they will contact you directly to arrange your visit.
